Obituary of John F. Loonam
Loonam, John F., 82, of Dix Hills, passed away on August 2, 2024. Beloved husband of Maureen. Loving father of Kathleen Loonam-Danoher (Scott). Cherished grandfather of Caroline and James. Dear brother of Judith DeMicco (Michael). John spent 41 years professionally with Northrup Grumman and was an avid volunteer of First Robotics of Long Island. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass Thursday 9:45 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Huntington. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to: Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) in John’s name would be greatly appreciated by the family.
