Another friend and member of the Grumman Family has left us. I had a nice conversation with John not too long ago. He mentioned his daughter would be visiting that day. He was happy about that. Rest easy dear friend!

I am so very blessed to be a part of this amazing family for the past 40 years. My brother-in-law, John was always a very kind, loving, generous man. May he now Rest In Peaceful Sleep eternally. Maureen and John’s daughter Kathleen was their pride and joy. My love & prayers to all.

I have known John for about 20 years, mostly through our close involvement with SBPLI-LI FIRST Robotics. . .but beyond that we had become very good friends. I admired John immensely. He was always a man of great character, integrity, wisdom, compassion and a great team player. While mostly serious, he also had a great sense of humor and jolly laugh! . He was such a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. I will miss him terribly. He left us way too early and unexpectedly. May he rest in peace. He will be missed by so many as he touched the lives of countless people. Rest easy my friend. xoxo

I had the good fortune of knowing John Loonam both professionally and socially. Resolute in his goals and objectives ,he stuck to his principles and never waivered.
He will be remembered as the "Quiet Gentleman".
