I would like to write a little something about a person who meant a great deal to me, Marianne. I learned of her passing today and my heart is breaking for her family. Over the years Marianne and I would talk so much about family, hers and mine (both very Italian). She talked of her children, her grandchildren and the great grandchildren with such love and adoration, it wasn't hard to imagine the family gatherings. We talked about food and holiday traditions. She told me she only ordered 3 pounds of seafood salad this year for Christmas Eve, instead of 5 pounds because there would be a few less people. She told me her grandson would help her make the shrimp because he liked to do it with her, and she was happy he would be the one to keep up the tradition. She would tell me of her great grandchildren in Massachusetts and how they loved to ski. About all the great times everyone would have out in East Hampton. All the great family dinners in Huntington. The horses and how hard her daughter worked taking care of them. She talked about her sons like they were movie stars!
I was her Hairdresser, but really, she was my friend. She was Beautiful, inside and out. She always wanted to look good for her family. I just wanted you to know how much you all meant to her. I will miss her very much Rest in Peace, Marianne
