Bud, I already left a tribute, but just wanted to say one more thing. I thank God for your life;you were a wonderful uncle and human being who was not only a blessing to our family, but to the many who knew and loved you, whether they knew you for years or for a short time. You were a kind, generous soul, always doing for others and giving of your time without ever asking for anything in return. You once told me after your heart surgery how, as you were rushed by ambulance to St. Francis hospital, you looked up at one of the ambulance windows and thought if it was your time to go, that it was okay as you did everything you ever wanted to do. I replied, but for those who love you, we're not ready to let you go. I'm still not, and am sure neither is anyone else;but although we have to let go in the physical sense, we can and will hold onto your memory, and all the wonderful memories with which you leave us. Bud, you were and will always be, an inspiration and a hero. You were the best uncle ever, and the best second dad ever. My life is truly blessed for having you in it. Love, Di

Hughie and I first met thru a mutual friend Stan Prekurat in 1984.We became instant friends. There wasn't a Friday night in the 80's or 90's that we all didn't get together for a few drinks in a local bar by Hughs studio in Deer Park. We traveled together for ski trips, many a BBQ, many a Christmas. I literally have 100's of pictures. In later years he and his Mom would spend Christmas Eve Dinner at my home. Hughie was a man of simple means. A BIG Hearted gentle man that would do anything for his friends. I will forever miss him dearly. These are just a few pictures. I could spend hours scanning pictures

I just found out today that my wonderful Uncle Bud is gone, and the world has lost a kind, sweet, gentle man whose heart was bigger than the Universe. Bud was always one to help others, never had a mean word about anyone, and his enthusiasm for life was boundless. It is a great shock and heartbreak;I lost my amazing, fantastic dad on January 20, 2021, and to also lose someone who I considered a second dad in the space of less than a year is overwhelming. God bless you Bud, say hi to Dad and enjoy all the Bugs Bunny cartoons you can watch in Heaven. My family and I will miss you, and I will miss our chats. I will raise a glass of Dr. Pepper in your memory. Love, Di Jones-Rosenthal

I have known Hughie for only 8 to 9 years and he made you feel as if you knew him for a lifetime. I shot a scene in his studio for my fist short film against his green screen, a remake of Casablanca when she leaves to go on the plane. It was a good thing it was his Studio because he was right there to help and give of his knowledge freely to make it a success. After that I would lease his equipment for other shoots and he would ask what the shoot was about. He then gave me ideas on how to shoot the scene from many angels. Within the last four months or so he aloud me to give acting lessons to Boys Without Dads and again help with advice. He seemed to enjoy that a lot and helped me give head shots to the kids for their resumes. He became a good friend to me and I hoped he felt the same way about me. Hughie you will be missed a great deal and I will always think of you when I am filming. How would Hughie do this shot? God Bless you for all you have done for me and everyone else.
