Obituary of Elba L. Bento

Elba Laura Bento Elba was born in Havana, Cuba on November 28, 1926 to Manuel and Lucia Baquerizo. She grew up with her brother, the late Lucho Baquerizo and her sister the late Alicia Royon, in Guayaquil Ecuador. Elba came to NY with her family in the early 1950’s and met her husband Jack Bento. They moved to Huntington NY in 1956 to start a family. Elba is survived by her children, John Royon, Jack Bento, Lucy Fischer, Gisele Burkavage, and Robert Bento. Her grandchildren, Jacqueline & Daniel Fischer; Michael & Richard Pollan; the late Jack Bento III; Robert, Nicholas & Olivia Bento. Her great grandchildren Lucy Monic; Kaitlyn, Julia, Michael Jr., & George Thomas Pollan; Zachary, Sophia, & Ava Pollan. Many nieces, nephews and cousins In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made out to St. Judes Hospital. Our family is truly blessed to have been loved by Elba. Her loving heart, open arms and beautiful smile will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
