What a sweet, nurturing and loving lady has left us. My children were blessed to have Elba as a third “grandmother” to love them and to know her hugs and kisses every day. My heartfelt condolences to Jack, Bob and Gigi. In the fullness of time, may your grief come to be assuaged by the abundance of sweet memories of so many happy times shared.

I only knew Elba for a little while, my family moved right next door to the Bento’s and we all were instantly welcomed. My kids loved to visit with Elba every day after they got off the bus for school which brought everyone to life. Elba loved kids and was loved by everyone, She only had love in her heart, she will be missed dearly…

IF TOMORROW STARTS WITH OUT ME
If tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see. If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me, I wish so much you would not cry the way you did today. While thinking of many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you will miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, that Jesus came and called my name, and took me by the hand and said my place was ready, in heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye, for all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die. I had so much to live for, so much left to do, it seemed almost impossible that I'd be leaving you. I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad, I thought of all that we had shared, and all the fun we had. If I could relive yesterday, just even for a while, I'd say good bye and kiss you and maybe make you smile. But then I fully realized that this could never be, for emptiness and memories, would take the place of me. And I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled of sorrow. But when I walked through heaven's gate, I felt so much at home. When God looked down and smiled at me, from his great golden throne, He said, "This is eternity, and all that I've promised you." Today your life on earth is past, but here life starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last, and since each day is the same, there's no longing for the past. You've been so faithful, so trusting and so true. Though there were times you did some things, you knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven, and now at last you are free. So won't you come and take my hand, and share my life with me. So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we are far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here, in your heart.
I Love you Mom, May the peace of our Risen Lord be forever with you.
Please give Barbara and my children a huge hug, the same for all our family and friends that have been called home before me. There has never been another mom that is loved and will be missed by so many children, adults and pets.
Until I see you and hug you and my Lord,
Your son
Jack

You kept us all together. I will miss you, but will have you in my heart until that day I see God too. We laughed so much on this earth and in this life…..and we took refuge in that in God’s goodness to us in good and bad times. Rest now, my love until we meet again.

Mom
How do we move on? We don't! Our love for you is so true and pure that you will never be gone.
You will live in my heart till the end.
Your kindness and gentleness to all of us was straight from above.
Animals and children all gravitated toward you because they understand pure kindness.
The way you would get us to lift our chins and carry on no matter the circumstance was always done with such compassion.
That kind of beauty, love and kindness is what we all needed and it's a true reflection of the strength you gave me.
Your true compassion for our struggles showed us what was truly important in life.
Rest now Mom, dance with your brother Lucho , Aunt Alice, Barbara, Aunt Patty, Mama Lala, Uncle John and all of our relatives who we know greeted you with open arms.
I asked Eli, Astro, Bear, Duke, Daisy and all of the pups to guard over all of you till I get there.
Your Love Lives on Through All of us.
Love Bobby

Mommy
How great was the unconditional love that you gave us
How beautiful the eyes that adored us
How deep was the faith that you taught us
How amazing the forgiveness you showed us
How strong were the hands that held us
How incredible was the heart that consoled us
How loud was the laughter you incited
How wondrous your journey last night
How large is the heavenly reward that awaited you there
How great is the pain our broken hearts are enduring
How we long to see you again in your glory
How blessed we are to call you our mother
With eternal love and gratitude
Your children
