Uncle Tommy was such a positive fun person who loved life and cared for others. His was a life well lived. I still remember those days in Hicksville growing up listening to Uncle Tommy playing the guitar and singing with the whole family. Such wonderful memories - he made a real difference in my life and I will miss him, but will always cherish and celebrate the times we did have. My sincerest condolences to the whole family - he was a great man.

Uncle Tommy was a kind, cheerful and benevolent spirit among us. He will be missed, but remembered with love and fondness.
Once when I was a young teen Uncle Tommy and I had to drive together with some young dude in a beat-up old pick-up truck to Suffolk Co where Opa owned a vacant lot. We had to clean up all the trash and debris that had accumulated over the years or Opa would be fined by the town. It was a cold, windy, and rainy day and we were pretty much shivering in our soggy clothes, with wet hands and numb fingers by the time we finished. We were all pretty miserable, but the drive back to Hempstead crammed together in the heated cab and drinking hot chocolate and coffees was like heaven. Sandwiched between this bearded, scraggly guy and Uncle Tommy, I was treated to a debate between the two over the merits and hazards of marijuana smoking. Not much common ground was discovered,,besides a general consensus to agree to disagree and to live and let live without animosity, but I saw how. Uncle Tommy's good and generous nature ensured he could get along with pretty much anyone. God Bless You Uncle!

Uncle Tommy, Joe and I will miss you so much. You and Aunt Linda and your whole family welcomed me with open arms when I joined the family and I will never forget that. Now you are with your brothers making the heavens ring with laughter and song. A sweeter, kinder man never walked the earth. My heart goes out to Aunt Linda, your sons, daughter in law and grandchildren. Love, Diane
