Elizabeth Steenson, age 79, of Huntington Station, passed away suddenly on Dec. 19, 2024.
Elizabeth was born on January 7, 1945 in Huntington Station, NY to John and Mary (Fusaro) Auletta. Elizabeth volunteered with the Huntington Community First Aid Squad for 34 years. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by three brothers, Pasquale, Peter and Paul Auletta and two sisters, Mildred and Theresa. Survived by her husband, Fred; two children, Mary Beth Kraese (Phillip), Frederick (Laura); three brothers, George Auletta, Michael Auletta, James Auletta; one sister, Sister Barbara Auletta, O.P., and six grandchildren, Mason, Gunnar, and Colton Kraese, and Freddie, Delana and Andrew Steenson. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday Dec. 27 at M.A. Connell Funeral Home in Huntington Station. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday Dec. 28 at 9:30 a.m. St Hugh of Lincoln Church in Huntington Station. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Huntington, N.Y. Liz, as she was called, loved life, had a great sense of humor and was full of resilience, she will certainly be missed by all who knew her.
