Obituary of Frank J. Cavalluzzi

Frank J. Cavalluzzi (1939-2024)

Frank J. Cavalluzzi, 85, of Huntington, NY, died of heart failure on December 18, 2024.

He was born in the Bronx on October 4,1939 and was the youngest of the four boys of Gerardo and Mary Cavalluzzi.   Frank graduated from Stuyvesant High School before taking classes at Hunter College.  He subsequently joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve, serving 6 years after completing bootcamp.  Frank was a professional jazz drummer for 10 years prior to working as a salesman for New York Life Insurance Company for over 50 years.

In his youth Frank played baseball and football and as an adult he played tennis and skied.  He could often be found watching action movies as well as listening to Frank Sinatra and various types of jazz music.  Frank maintained an interest in self-realization, alternative healing, and weight loss.  Additionally, he enjoyed family vacations at home and abroad, taking scenic drives, and spending time by the water.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and brothers William, Vincent, and John.  He is survived by his wife Diane, daughter Janine, and many nieces & nephews.
