We were saddened to hear of Francine's passing. My fondest memories were of us dancing at every family function. She always had a big smile on her face when she was on the dance floor. She will be missed and always in our prayers.

I was blessed to have known Francine for over a decade. She was a beautiful soul. If anyone from program is reading this, I was one of the reasons for her personal days off from work. When I switched from full time shift to perdiem shift. She knew when I came to work it was also her day off. She would either wake up late, help me run errands. We would go food shopping, take the others to program, or she would just stay home and relax. She was always very thankful. I remember when I was new to the house I would get random sloppy wet kisses on my arm or on my face. Her lips were always wet. My reaction was always funny to her.
Francine enjoyed trips to the city, going to the movies and the park. She loved walking around Northport and seeing the bunnies in area.
Francine loves chocolate. One Halloween day, she was in bed watching TV. She saw me walk into her room. She looked as if she was caught up in the show but at the same time she was watching me. I took about 6 pieces of candy and left them on her dresser in such a way thinking she would not see them. I left the room to take care of something. When I came back all that was left were the wrappers. She was back in bed with the remote in her hand as if nothing happened.
Francine loved listening to other people's conversations. She would pretend to be talking to her stuffed animal. Staff would be telling stories and all of the sudden you hear Francine laughing too. Then she would go back to playing with her stuffed animal.
Francine was funny. Some people would think that she did not speak at all, but when I was with her she would not stop talking. She would talk about her father, her dog Hazard, her past and some of the things she did during the day. If Francine were alive today, she would definitely say thank you to everyone who was there for in her life. She would definitely thank Rose for all that she has done for her. May her soul rest in peace. You were loved Francine and will be missed.

Francine and my wife Margaret, who were cousins, loved each other very much. Francine meant more to Margaret than words could ever say. We often took Francine out to dinner on weekends, and many times we took her on day trips to Eastern Long Island, where we went to farmstands and saw farm animals.
These outings are now very fond memories for me of both Francine and Margaret. Both Margaret and I also loved attending the Christmas parties and Francine's birthday celebrations at the group home. I'll always treasure the great times we had with Francine. They were among the best times of our lives.
I know that Francine and Margaret are together again now.
