Carol Strub Obituary

Carol Strub, proud native of the Bronx, was someone special to so many. Devoted Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend… all were meaningful to her. A professional office manager in Huntington, her adopted hometown, she attended Hunter College when it was uncommon for women to seek higher education. Married for nearly 50 years, she participated in the sailing and fire department activities of her husband, Charles. In retirement, having been widowed, she never missed a beat, developing new activities and friendships that blossomed from her daily Mass attendance at St. Patrick’s Church. Choral Singing, reading (Is Book Club this week?), writing, knitting, socializing and always living a full life of spirituality and community,  she never passed up an opportunity to enjoy a good meal with just a little Riesling! An active collector of angel figurines, now she is one herself.
