If you ever met Lou Pagano you were very lucky to have met such a kind, dedicated, gentle man. Lou grew up in the town of Huntington and of course graduated from Huntington High School, class of 1964. everyone knew Lou in High School, he had many friends, a popular guy. Lou served our Country, Proudly and Bravely in one of the toughest branches of service, especially at wartime. Lou served in the United States Marine Corps, in Vietnam. Lou always kept in touch with his hometown friends and all his Marine friends. He loved this Country and was so proud of his service in the military. Unfortunately his time in Vietnam caused much health issues but Lou never complained. Lou was always upbeat and willing to help any veteran. Lou coordinated the Huntington High School 50th Anniversary, all three days, including the grand finale at the Town of Huntington Veterans Plaza for all the High School students who served in Vietnam. He did it all including requesting the town of Huntington to open the Vietnam Memorial to add the names of the HS Students who served in and during the Vietnam War. Lou was a fine man who I will always remember his caring of all people's welfare and his love of fellow veterans.
May he rest in peace
