Del Zio, Ronald Raphael, 78, of Huntington passed away on June 24, 2024. Beloved husband of 55 years to his high school sweet heart Janet (nee. Nichols). Loving father of two sons, John (Ramona) and Anthony (Melissa). Adoring grandfather of Alex, Marc, Dominique, and little Anthony. For many years Ronald worked for Sherwin Williams, starting in sales working his way up to manager. Upon his retirement he began working as a staff member at Stimson Middle School, where he was beloved by his students and coworkers alike, affectionately known to the students as lunchman Ron. He is loved and will be missed by his family, and his many friends. Visitation will be held at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 9:30 AM, at St. Hugh’s Church, Huntington Station. Interment to follow at Memorial Cemetery of St. John’s, Cold Spring Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ronald’s name may be made to: Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Suffolk County (visitingnurseservice.com) or the Glioblastoma Foundation (glioblastomafoundation.org), and  would be greatly appreciated by his family.
