PETRONE- Mary "Mickey", of Huntington Station, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024. She was born to parents, Joseph and Elizabeth McCormack on October 8, 1928 in Cold Spring, New York. She graduated from New Paltz Teachers College in 1949 and enjoyed teaching in Peekskill, NY, Sarasota, FL, and retired from many years of working at Maplewood School in South Huntington, NY. Mickey married Huntington Home Builder Richard Petrone in 1957 and were together until his death in 2005. Mickey is survived by her nephew, Robert Lehman; two nieces, Amelia Carney and Maryann O’Donnell and her longtime supportive friend Marta Lagos. Visitation will be held at M.A. Connell Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Funeral service Wednesday 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment Thursday 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Huntington.
