Mr.Reminick was an amazing Social Studies teacher and one of the things I will never forget besides his love of history was his absolute borderline obsession with U2. He had U2 and Oasis album art plastered on the walls of his Finley classroom. He would have jeopardy-style review classes the day before exams where he would put students in groups and have them compete for extra credit. There was never a review session that did not include a reference to U2. When U2's hit Vertigo came out, I remember one of my friends Max was the only one to answer "what are the first 4 words of Vertigo by U2." He even put extra credit questions on the actual exams along the lines of "what hit album was just released by the artist U2" and "what is the nickname for U2's lead guitarist." He would also have references to other 90s and 2000s music, like "who was the artist that stated, "If you don't know, now you know (you know)." Needless to say, I got that one correct. Mr.Reminick was one of the coolest and down to earth teachers, he will not be forgotten.

I grew up with Brad.
Our neighborhood was full of kids laughing and playing; it was the kind of neighborhood where we left the house in the morning and didn’t come home until mom called us for dinner. Brad was my brother’s age, and he truly was just like a brother to me. There is not one memory of my childhood that didn’t include Dossie and Brad.
Over the years, as we grew up, we went our separate ways. Every now and then I would run into Brad. I remember seeing him in the grocery store with his son. It was a profound moment for me as I caught the two of them looking at each other – such love and admiration.
Another time I caught Brad by surprise – his beautiful blue eyes lit up and he gave me the biggest bear hug.
…And who could forget Brad’s laugh. That laugh and smile…It was the best!
I am still shocked with the news of Brad’s passing. I will cherish the memories I have of Brad. I will miss him.
I pray that God watch over his family and guide Brad to where he needs to be.
God Bless The Reminick Family

Brad taught and coached our daughter and we knew him from our Huntington school and town community. My daughter played JV and then Varsity basketball on his championship team as a junior high student and also as a freshman. This came with physical, mental and emotional challenges and Brad took the time to encourage her and he checked in often to ensure she was able to handle it. Our family appreciated Brad’s drive, passion and sense of humor. We grieve the demons he fought but at the same time want to celebrate the many lives he touched in a positive way.

Mr. Reminick was always the type of guy you can rely on. A humble man, great humor, and most of all heart of gold. Always was accepting of those in need, no judgement. Was a true mentor and guardian to those in need.
May he rest in peace and his family lives in his light. He will truly be missed.

I remember when Ms. Bertuzzi had said that she thought I brought a knife to the school, and she called Reminick and I go into his office and he tells me to open my backpack…. I did and nothing but muffin crumbles fall out all on his desk.
The way we laughed. lol!

I was a substitute teacher for about 7 years at Finley middle school, when he was a social studies teacher there. He was a great teacher, friend, and I subbed for his classes too. We were all a tight Finley family back then, and shared some great stories and made some great memories. This hits very close to home. It saddens me very much, but I know that he is in a better place now.

I am a retired teacher from Copiague. I was teaching in the high school when Brad was hired as an assistant principal. Brad was a stand up guy who blended well into the Copiague family. He loved his co- workers, students, and his family. Rest in peace my friend, I miss tormenting you about the career change.

I remember Brad with a warmth that surpasses words. It feels like just yesterday we were navigating the chaotic halls of Huntington High School together, sharing laughter and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Brad was more than a friend; he was a pillar of support, a beacon of humor, and a steadfast companion.
One of my fondest memories with Brad revolves around my high school football days. I can still picture him on the bleachers, his contagious enthusiasm lighting up the stands as he cheered me on during every game. His unwavering support meant the world to me, whether we were celebrating a victory or lifting each other's spirits after a tough loss. Brad's presence in the crowd made every game feel like a triumph, regardless of the score.
But what truly defined Brad was his infectious sense of humor. He had a knack for finding joy in the simplest of moments, turning even the most mundane situations into uproarious adventures. I can't count the number of times he had me doubled over with laughter, his jokes and witty remarks echoing through the hallways and bringing light to even the gloomiest of days.
Of course, Brad's love for the LA Rams was legendary, even if it often sparked playful disagreements between us. Despite my staunch allegiance to the Giants, I couldn't help but admire his unwavering loyalty to the Rams. Whether they were soaring to victory or facing adversity, Brad stood by his team with an undying passion that was both admirable and endearing.
As I look back on those cherished high school years, I'm filled with gratitude for the moments we shared and the friendship we built. Brad may no longer be with us in body, but his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear. He was more than just a friend; he was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him, and his absence is deeply felt. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
