Kevin always had wonderful crazy ideas and you were sure to have a great time when Kevin was around. However, most of all, Kevin had a wonderful big heart that I will always admire him for that. "Kevbo' will always remain in my heart and will be missed so much!

Tons of fun Golfing with Otto, packing his beers and cigars, sharing with all, hitting beautiful golf shots and loving life with Tom and the foursome. Very upsetting losing him. Gus Nuzzolese

On my first day of college at ISU I was paired up with Kevin in orientation
We went back to his dorm where I met Ricky and the 3 of us did everything together
We joined Kappa Sigma and made many brothers and sisters our friends for life
We spent several vacations together either in NY,Indiana and even Hawaii
I know he will be missed but I promise you he will never be forgotten

Kevin was one of the first people I met when I arrived at ISU in the fall of 1979. Within the first few weeks we attended Frat parties together and in the spring of 1980 we became Kappa Sigma pledge brothers. We spent most days together during our 4 years in college. Kevin brought an East coast presence and personality that was one of a kind at a hick Midwest school.
Although we only were able to get together every few years since graduation we did talk regularly on the phone keeping up with each other’s life and families.
When we did get together it was golf, drinks, dinner and cigars each day. Kevin introduced me to Devo and the Ramones. He introduced my kids to “Who let the dogs out”. He never understood why Indiana TV stations didn’t show all Islanders games!!!
I am thankful that we made it out to visit with Kevin last summer. It was a great week including golf, boat ride to Connecticut for rum punch drinks, roof ball (he roasted me) and steaks on the grill.
My condolences to Abby and the entire Kossmann family. Kevin will always be in my memory and the memories of many Kappa Sig’s.

Kevin was my friend and fraternity brother at ISU. Kevin and I shared the same Communications major in college and so we had several classes together. The first time I noticed Kevin was when he arrived in class with his punk hairstyle and a large boom box on his shoulder. Our curriculum included writing for television and radio, and I knew that if I could make Kevin laugh out loud with my fake news stories that I had achieved my goal. In turn I never missed Kevin’s college radio show. Kevin was truly an inspiration for me.
Brothers in the Heart Forever Kevin. Love you.
Todd

2007 Kevo and I at Oktoberfest Munich Germany....what a good time. At one point we had one to many extra large beers got on their version of the subway, forgot to get off and we ended up in the train yard. Well we were laughing and making all sorts of noise that the engineer heard us, got us and let Kevin drive the train back to the last stop haha

My cousin Kevin (“Kevbo”) was the guy who when you saw him walk into the room, you knew good times were about to happen! He always had a huge smile on his face that was contagious. I will always remember him as being full of life, laughter and love. His greatest love was Abby. Whenever he spoke of his daughter, he lit up like a Christmas tree. It was always so heartwarming to watch such pure love. I will always admired Kevin cause he embraced life. I can’t think of a time when he wasn’t smiling and making sure everyone was having a good time. There are so many memories and crazy times we shared, which I feel I am so blessed to have. Only Kevbo would call Frank and I up at 2 a.m. and say let’s meet in Coram ( 50 miles away from us) and we’d actually consider it!, Kevin will live in our hearts forever and we will miss him so dearly. May you Rest In Peace dear cousin.

Our deepest condolences to Abby and the Kossmann family. Kevin will be missed deeply. We will miss him zipping around on his jet ski during the summer and sharing some sangria in the winter. This is a picture of our wedding in 2012, he was the life of the party!

Kevsko… I can’t believe the news I just heard. I’m heart broken that we will never see each other again. I’m so sad I didn’t know you were in the hospital to say goodbye. Although we didn’t see each other in awhile we always caught up right where we left off.
Wishing we could have seen one another again and reminisce about alllll the memories we made together. From the minute we met working together at the Garden City Hotel we became instant friends and started making memories that will NEVER be forgotten.
A trip down memory lane… Islander games together,
St. Patrick’s Day parades drinking bloody Marys with your mom & dad. You teaching me how to drive a stick in your brand new MR2, April Fools day pranks, dancing
to La Bamba on a mixed tape playing over and over again. You were a big part of my life!! I will miss you and I will Forever be your Debsko and you my Kevsko.
Love you Rest in piece my BFF

My cousin Kevin, was alway generous, considerate and a lot of fun. He was also often doing the unexpected like in this photo where he surprised us with a bagpipe recital during my son Jason's High School graduation party.
I am so sad that he is not with us but I am sure he is bringing a smile to the other angels in heaven

Kevin Kossmann memories? Well, here we go....How many parties did he DJ for us? Awesome! Did you ever take a ride with him in his MR2? It’s all fun and games until you go off the road...! Met Games: Watching Rey Ordonez throw a perfect pick to home, from his knees, from behind the bag on the third base line, and celebrating by dancing and singing ‘That’s the way we like it’, priceless! Also, at Met game “...how did you get that bump on your head Kevin?...” Suites at the Marriott Marquis (don’t tell Marriott)! Jet Ski trips (yes, Jet Ski not just wave runners) including the Epic trip when he strapped his clubs to his back and jet-skied to Connecticut to play nine holes! Are you kidding me? And speaking of golf. Loved playing with Kevin, he respected the game, and had no patience for mulligans, “gimmies” and other such nonsense!
And his dedication to his daughter Abby! We did not see Kevin as often in recent years as some, but when we did, he always gushed about how proud he was of her! Great Dad!
Such a unique, free spirit that will be missed. We are all better to have known him. Even at the very end, when he had been through so much, Kevin’s personality shined through as the last words that we and others heard from him were him rapping “I like woman, I like McDonalds, the woman we mine, the burger Ronalds!”, followed by “You Fizzie, you Fizzie, you ain’t no Thin Lizzie”... You will be missed my friend!

My deepest condolences to Abby and everyone in the Kossmann family. All of my memories of Kevin include laughter, smiles, and fun times; I can see him on his jet ski, back in the day, or hanging out with everyone at one of the family parties. I don't know when or why it started so many years ago, but he was always "Kevbo" and that's how I'll remember him. Kevin will be missed greatly, Rest in Peace.

My father was the most fun, loving, wonderful man. He did anything, and everything for me. There is not a day that will go by where I feel like I’m not missing something. He took a piece of my heart with him.
