Morvillo, Philip, of Huntington Station, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Phil attended Brooklyn Tech High School before moving on to SUNY Maritime College and joining the Merchant Marines. His professional endeavors led him to Manhattan, where he worked in the garment center for most of his career.
Phil was an avid sports fan with a special love for the Mets and Jets. He adored family time, Manhattan excursions, Montauk getaways, and decking the halls for Christmas. He was a lifelong learner, always staying informed on news and current affairs.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Adrienne, his children Scott Morvillo, Chris (Monika) Morvillo, and Lisa (Andrew) Luskin, his six adoring grandchildren: Andie, Gianna, Gaby, Jack, Nicolas and Michael, his sister Diane (John) DeMarco, his sister-in-law Lynne (Kerry) VanName, numerous loving nieces and nephews, and a multitude of close friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation Saturday 12 – 4 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to: Long Island Cares www.licares.org in Phil’s name would be greatly appreciated by the family.
