Jean was my grandmother. You weren't just that though, we were best friends. What happened in our lives that we didn't go through together? When did good or bad happen that we didn't look to each other? You are my super hero. You are a human that walks on water. You were always magic to me. I can't remember a day in my past that you weren't a part of. Whether you were there or not you were always on my mind. You will never leave my mind. You gave me strength, you give me strength still. I will hold you against me until I fall and meet you again. You have left, but you will never leave me. You are my world. You make the earth spin. You may be at rest but the world keeps spinning and I know you stand right next to me. Me and you gramma, we are a force. No one can defeat us. As long as I breathe you will reign queen. You were never anything less to me. My queen. My best friend. My gramma. My love. You will live on strongly as long as I can make it so. I owe my life to you. My happiness. All you. Gotta tell you though, when you made those apple fritters for me in the morning, I always picked the apples out. The fritters were amazing though. I love you gramma. I could never live without you and I know you hold my hand now as I search for yours. We are always together. You dont have to look for me and I dont have to look for you. We are one. You will never be past tense to me. Live through me. Live with me. Let's take this planet for a ride!

Jean Leonard was my grandmother. She was the biggest cheerleader for all of her loved ones. She was an amazing chef, artist and business woman. When she was healthy she lived life to the fullest and lived a life full of adventure. I was fortunate enough to be close to her through most of my childhood and I’m truly better for it. She will be greatly missed. Her recipes will live on. Love you grandma!
