Obituary of Catherine Ann Caruso

Catherine Ann Caruso
October 25th, 1935 – November 17th, 2023
Catherine Ann Caruso passed away peacefully Friday morning amongst family. She was 88. She was born in Astoria and lived in a brownstone on the corner of Grand Avenue and 14th Street during the Great Depression. She attended PS 126 and LIC High School graduating in 1953.

She married the love of her life Stephen J. Caruso on April 29th, 1956 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on the corner of Cresent Street & Newtown Road under the backdrop of the Triborough & Hell Gate Bridges. The marriage would last 67 years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen, children Jayne, Tom/Ellen, Grandchildren Stephen & Tom Jr/Emily, and sister-in-law Rose, as well as 9 nieces and nephews: Audrey, Pattie, Donna, Debra, Steven, Laura, Lisa, Carolann and Jimmy. She was a Great Aunt 8 times over.
In lieu of Flowers, the family would like to ask for a donation to the National MS Society.
