Obituary of Herbert August Grote
Grote, Herbert August, 77, of Huntington, passed away on October 19, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Susan. Loving father of Christopher (Allison), Meghan Shear (Donnie Jr.) and Ashley Gainey (Sean). Cherished grandfather of Ayden, Ella, Colton, Jameson and Ryann. Dear brother of Walter. Herbert will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation will be on Thursday at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Friday 10:45 AM at. St. Patrick’s Church, Huntington. Herbert’s loving spirit will be with us always. May God bless his soul. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to: Carcinoid Cancer Foundation www.carcinoid.org in Herbert’s name would be greatly appreciated by the family.
