Our beloved Aunt/Cousin Joan We cherish all our family holiday dinners growing up in NY: loud, boisterous and loving. These were our happiest days with our dear cousins. Aunt Joan's hospitality, welcoming spirit, wonderful cooking, generosity and true loving heart touched our lives. Pat fondly remembers watching dishes and chatting with Joan after our big family meals. We remember how she never forgot our children with sweet cards for every holiday, tucking money gifts inside. We will remember her with love and always hold her close in our hearts. We will hold a big, boisterous, loving dinner in her honor. Aunt Joan - what a caring loving individual she was. Always ready to listen and never judgmental. Her love of family and friends was unquestionable and she loved being the family historian. She loved talking about growing up, her college days at St. Johns, and family. The memories go on and on. We know that she is free of pain and for that we are happy. She has left a hole in our hearts and memories of her will never fade. Aunt Joan, we are sure that you will be cooking and celebrating Christmas Eve with all your angels in heaven. The good lord called you home my godmother. God rest your spirit in harmony. I will never forget going on our Girl Scout camping trip. You dropped me off and told me you would come back to get me, and left to pick up some other girls that did it have a ride and you never came back for me. You felt horrible for many years. Babysitting me and Laurie Ann after school doing homework and eating dinner together cause my mom worked. I will never forget traveling to Florida by Amtrak. What an experience, it took us 3 days because we got stuck in Georgia in a snow storm. Every Saturday we went to Jones beach with packed lunches and riding the waves. So many memories I will cherish forever. Thank you for your unconditional love.
