Obituary of Marguerite Vezzani

Marguerite Vezzani, 91, of Melville passed peacefully on July 16, 2023. Beloved mother of Mark Hopkins (Valerie) of Fayetteville, Ga. and Chris Hopkins of Melville. Cherished grandmother of Marissa, Fayetteville, Ga., Greg (Rachel) of Peachtree City, Ga., Nick, Sandy Springs, Ga., and Avery of Fayetteville, Ga. Marge was a teacher for 40 years, 35 of those in South Huntington elementary schools as a reading specialist.  She was engaged in numerous community activities for many years. She was still actively serving as co-President of the South Huntington Retired Teachers Association. Visitation Wednesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at M.A. Connell Funeral Home Inc., 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station. Mass Thursday 9:30AM at St. Elizabeths Church, Melville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Friends of South Huntington Library.
