Obituary of Joseph Anthony Casiano

Joseph Casiano, 88, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away on 31 March 2023. He was born on 7 September 1934, into a traditional Italian and Puerto Rican family. He was the oldest of three boys. He played sports growing up from an early age, finding a love for baseball and track. Joe was also academically gifted. He attended Saint Peter's College in Jersey City, earning a degree in Biology. He originally thought he wanted to teach, but joined the Navy instead. At the end of his 4-year enlistment, serving proudly on a Destroyer, he turned down Officer Candidate School in Pensacola to become a Naval Officer. Rather he began his life's work in the electronics field in the airline industry.  So, he didn't matriculate students in a traditional classroom, but for 53 years as a Flight Simulator Technician made sure generations of pilots were equipped to train on flight simulators for Pan American and Delta Airlines. He was a quiet man who put his family in front of everything.  His greatest amount of pride emanated from the family he and I created, represented here today with our sons, their wives, and our 7 grandchildren.
