Obituary of Susanne Burns

 BURNS - Susanne M. of Centerport, NY, and formerly of Bay Shore, NY peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 15, at the age of 90. Susanne is with her loving husband of 61 years, Bruce, her father Frederich, her mother Isabel, brother Fred, sister in law Deb and survived by her sister Emily.

She so dearly loved her sons MacGregor, Duncan, Christopher, Timothy, David, Peter, their loving wives Patti, Barbara, Pattye, Heidi, Susie, Susan, her grandchildren Andrew, Lauren, Amanda, Samantha, Heather, Sean, Sarah, Patrick, Katharine, Julia, Bryan, Danny and the late Eric and her great granddaughter Emma.

Susanne who is a citizen of Muscogee Creek Nation was an active member at St. Peter's Church in Bay Shore, NY., St John’s in Huntington N.Y., Cursillo Diocese of Long Island and an active servant in her community with homeless ministry, hospital ministry, thrift shop, Altar Guild and Sunday school teacher. Susanne was a gifted teacher for so many years at South Country and Middle School at Bay Shore School District. She cherished every moment with her family and lived for family events and holidays. Susanne was passionate about supporting various animal causes and loved her dogs and cats so dearly. She loved watching old movies, reading, playing bridge and watching old game shows.

Visitation is Sunday February 19th 5pm - 8pm at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station. Mass is Monday, February 20th 11AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, Main Street, Huntington.
