Obituary of William J. Naughton
Naughton, William J., 89, of Huntington, passed away on February 5, 2023.
Born in Ardnaglug, Ireland, he immigrated to the USA in 1964. During his life he was very active in his community. He was an active member of Ancient Order of Hibernians, Knights of Columbus and Rotary. Served as past president of NYS Highway Superintendents Association and was a member of the Suffolk County Highway Superintendents Association. Respected Highway Superintendent for the Town of Huntington for 26 years.
Beloved husband of Lynn and predeceased by his first wife Nuala. Loving father of Michael (Christine), Margaret Bond (Kevin), Maureen Naughton and Kathleen Walsh and stepfather of George (Rose), Donna and Brian (Shari) Beyersdorf. Cherished grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 1.
Visitation Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass Tuesday 9:45 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Huntington. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Huntington.
