Obituary of Nicholas A. Mastroianni Sr.

Mastroianni, Nicholas Alfredo Sr., of Huntington NY, was born March 28, 1933, in Huntington, NY to the to the late Joseph and Emily Mastroianni and went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 4, 2022, at 2:52PM. Nicholas was a very prominent figure in Long Island, operating many fine restaurants beginning with Burt Bacharach’s Dover House in Westbury NY, Rothmans in East Norwich NY and most recently Glynn’s Inn in Huntington NY. After his restaurateur career he was notable for participating in building homes on LI, Mergers and Acquisitions, he was a pilot, and world class chef who gained great joy having his family around the dinner table and close to him every chance he had. He resided in Huntington, NY for his majority of his life, while spending winters in Palm Beach Gardens, FL with his family. He attended Huntington High School and he served our country honorably in the U.S. Amy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Beverly Mastroianni, Brothers James Mastroianni and Ronald Mastroianni. He is survived by his sister Janice Mastroianni Shea, two sons Nicholas Alfredo Mastroianni II of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and John Joseph Mastroianni of Huntington, NY, and his one daughter, Audrey Stephanie Mastroianni of Huntington, NY; six grandchildren Nicholas Alfredo Mastroianni III, Anthony Jon Mastroianni, Dominick DeStefano, Audrey Marie Mastroianni, Marcello Mastroianni and Evelyn Mastroianni; and six great grandchildren, Giabella Mastroianni, Giuliana Mastroianni, Gemma Mastroianni Nicholas Alfredo Mastroianni IV, Anthony J Mastroianni II, Emily Mastroianni; devoted nephews, Ronald Mastroianni and Joseph Mastroianni, and nieces and friends. We give thanks to God for sharing him with us and for his love, his life and his sweet spirit. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be very deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on November 8, from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave, Huntington Station. Mass will be held on November 9, at 9:45am at St. Patrick’s Church in Huntington, NY, he will be laid to rest next to his wife Audrey Beverly Mastroianni at St. Charles Cemetery.
