Obituary of Jacqueline Donofrio

Jaqueline "Jackie" Donofrio passed away on November 1, 2022 at the age of 95. Jackie taught in the Huntington Public School System, District 3 for at least 36 years. She was well respected and revered by her students for decades. Jackie never stopped learning new things and was always inquisitive to the very end. She enjoyed reading and going to the opera in Manhattan. She refused to let aging stop her from living life to the fullest. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who gave herself to the community in which she lived. She is survived by her four children; Vincent (Lynda), Thomas (Sara), Candida (John) Conner and Gary (Marilyn); eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She will be very greatly missed by those who knew her and was a guiding light to many many people. Visitation Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass Tuesday 9:45 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Huntington. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org in Jacqueline’s name would be greatly appreciated by the family.
