Adella Ann Hayes July 20, 1927 to  Oct. 17^th, 2022 . Adella was born at home on Highland Court, Huntington, daughter of Alice and Henry Schwier, sister of Allen Schwier, and Alice “Sis” Carey. She leaves behind her children: Michael, Sandra and Jennifer, her grandchildren Allison, Ian and Aaron, and three great grandchildren.

She attended and graduated from Huntington High School during WWII, and spent most of her life in town. Like many Long Islanders of her generation, she could identify fighter planes types by sound of their engines. Known to her neighbors only as the little woman with a little dog, she was a sports car enthusiast, and had run a gourmet catering company, Bonne Soiree, in the 1970s. Later, she enjoyed working at Flowerdale florists in Huntington Station.

Her family would like to express their deepest appreciation to her many doctors, home health aides and Hospice workers.
