Obituary of Alberta Toth

Alberta S. Toth, age 79 of Huntington, NY, peacefully drifted into the arms of her Lord and Savior on September 12, 2022.  She graduated from St. Joseph’s College, Emmitsburg, MD, earning her bachelor’s in nursing.  Alberta found her calling in life helping those most in need, whether it be a human or animal.  She worked as a hospital nurse for many years in Queens and in Huntington.  Much of her free time was spent as a devoted member of her local parish, St. Patrick’s Church, in which she ministered to those homebound and most in need. Alberta also loved spending time in her garden, antique shopping, floral painting, and animal rescue. Her devotion to others was cherished by many, and her life was celebrated with those most touched by her during her final days. She is survived by her beloved family, Rebecca Toth (daughter), Joseph Toth (husband), and Christine Brenner (niece).  A wake will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at M. A. Connell Funeral Home, Huntington Station, NY; funeral mass September 16, 2022, 9:45 am at St. Patrick’s Church, Huntington, NY with burial immediately following at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Calvary Fund Inc of Calvary Hospital.
