Obituary of Patricia Engel

Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Patricia “Pat” Engel was a caring wife, mother, Grammy, sister, and friend. She left this world on September 1, 2022 at age 66 to be with husband Gary (Engel), sister Susan (Coseglia), and her parents Alfred and Mary (Coseglia).

She is survived by her three children David (Engel), Heather (Peseri), and Marilyn (Andreassi), and their three spouses Danielle (Engel), Doug (Peseri), and Jason (Andreassi). She was a beloved Grammy to Logan, Hannah, Ava, and Ellie, to whom she loved to spoil with love and attention (and gifts too!). She is also survived by her brother Alfred (Coseglia).

Pat was born on October 31, 1955 in Mineola, NY.  Not surprisingly, Halloween quickly became her favorite holiday. She was a celebrator of life and all special events. She loved all things orange.  Decorating for holidays, season changes, and birthdays were one of her favorite things to do. Pat also always loved to find a bargain, and to hear about a great sale you found, too.

Pat loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Anyone who encountered her felt her joy and left her company feeling happy themselves. No one felt like a stranger in her home.

Pat fought many illnesses in the last few years. Her constant struggles never broke her spirits. In fact, she was always a comfort to her friends and family, even in her worst times. She was a warrior and her strength was unmatched by anyone else.  Pat’s laugh was contagious and she lit up every room she was in. She will be remembered for the love she provided, her formidable strength, and the joy-fullness she radiated to every one she met. She can finally be at peace knowing she fought to the very last second of her life. She was the best mom and Grammy anyone could have ever dreamed of. She will be incredibly missed.
