I always had fun with Doris. She loved to laugh and it was contagious! I know she helped a lot of people and loved her meetings and friends there. I first met the family when they moved to Grosse Pointe, MI when I was in about 5th grade. Became friends with the kids and family, then visited many summers where Doris and Ed graciously hosted me for two weeks at a time! Later, for years she sent very needy Christmas cards; occasionally we shared a call. I will miss her. The McMahons were a home away from home when I moved to NYC. May she rest in peace. To Kevin, Barbara, Susan and Kathleen, I can only be there in spirit today. Love to all ~

My memories of Doris are primarily from the mid 70s early 80s. Great Mom. Back in the day she drove Kathy and I to Robert Moses many times before we had cars of our own. On the way back we would stop and vist her mom at the nursing home in Bayshore. Always kind and friendly to all of Kathy's friends. RIP Doris. Richie d

I'm Sending my Condolences to the Family of Dorris ! She was spunky and we ALL LOVE HER ! She has helped so many with her words of wisdom ! Not just new comers and not just ladies She had her coffee and cookies brought to her she didn't even have to ask Sending Prayers and hugs May She sleep peacefully
