Lauren, Tom and Michael: So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. We had stayed in touch over the last 50 years since I was the Co-Captain of Wantagh's High School's 1972 varsity soccer team. We weren't the most talented team but your dad taught us the value of conditioning, hustle and team first mentality. I recall playing Oceanside High School when they were the reported #1 team in the country. We were up 2 to 1 at the half but lost 4-2. I recall your dad saying after the game that as a coach he couldn't ask for any more effort that we gave that afternoon. Beyond being your dad he was also the founding father of Wantagh HS soccer I regret I can't attend the service in person but I couldn't get a flight out of New Hampshire in time. Hopefully, we can meet sometime when things settle down and share some memories. On behalf of the 1972 team our deepest sympathy. Tim Barry Plainfield, NH
