Obituary of Angelina Sicari

It is with tremendous sorrow to announce the passing of Angelina “Lee” Sicari, 91 of Huntington Station, on May 19, 2022. Lee was born on June 14, 1930 to Dorothy and Angelo Lovecchio in New York City, New York. She married John Sicari on May 31, 1953.

 

Beloved widow of John, Lee is survived by her daughter Linda, brother-in-law, Sal and nieces and nephews, Anthony DeMarinis (Carmen), Angelo DeMarinis (Kathy), Laura Minicozzi (Joey), Dorothy Rosa, Debi Brauch (Peter), Lisa Medina (Henry), Karole Maidhof, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving sisters Tessy (John) DeMarinis and Ann (Al) Rosa.

 

A devoted wife and mother, Lee’s life centered around her family and friends. A caregiver by nature, Lee found her calling caring for children for over 30 years. Known as “Aunt” Lee by all, she brought joy and comfort to so many with her loving, thoughtful and compassionate demeanor, often saying that she was the one being blessed. Truly loved by all who knew her, Lee will be greatly missed!

 

Visitation Sunday, May 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday May 23rd 10:45 AM at St. Hugh’s Church, Huntington Station. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. www.stjude.org in Lee's name.
