Obituary of Martin J. Fenlon

FENLON, MARTIN J, 84, of East Northport died peacefully on March 14, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Geraldine, his children Sean (Catherine), Pamela Neumann and Lynn Savino (Rick), his sisters Ellen Nidds and Ann Fenlon, and his precocious grandchildren Olivia, Lauren, Chloe, Brendan & Mia, who Marty enjoyed with both fascination & awe. He was predeceased by his son Michael, his parents John and Johanna (of Carlow & Wexford, Ireland) and his brother John. In addition to his family, Marty collected a legion of friends & fans throughout his life, from St. Patrick’s School, St. Dominic’s HS, Seton Hall, NYU, the US Army, his consequential career with the NYS Dept. of Mental Health and through to his & Gerrie’s retirement winters in Deerfield Beach, FL. All who knew Marty will greatly miss his irrepressible wit, wisdom and candor. Visitation Sunday 2-6 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass Monday 10:45 AM at St. Matthew’s RC Church, Dix Hills. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s RC Cemetery, Huntington.
