I learned of Stans passing with great sadness the other day. What a great guy. I believe my bulkhead installation was his final project and that is how I came to know me. What a one of a kind man. I am so very sorry for your loss. He had character and integrity. I pray his transition was peaceful. Jeanne Vitale

So Sorry for your loss. I/We have known Stanley for some time now. We had a beautiful retainer wall built by Stanley and every time I look at it I think of him. His work will be admired for years to come.

Stan has been in my life since I'm 4 years old
A friend of my brother Steve and as the years went by became a Dear friend of mine. He brought my my very first Star Fish, 60 some odd years ago, and of course it came with a lesson about our Harbor
I was by his side when Diane passed...
A Gentle Giant, with the kindest heart.
God Bless and keep you Stan

Stan was a good man who raised 2 great daughters. He was very generous about sharing Christmas with Dian (1st wife, mother of daughters) and myself. After Dian passed, he continued to welcome me to his home. Precious memories when the grandkids were young. Very generous man.

To all who were fortunate to be part of Stans life we are blessed. The memories out at the Bluff / Neck / Property will never be forgotten and we all have our favorite thoughts. Ours was all the great times camping overnight with our children and friends at Stans Bluff. I remember the year that we helped plant hundreds of sunflower seeds and I think we had as many beers. His black dog Ollie and then Dune knew the sound of our Sea Ray as we pulled up to his mooring and would run down the bluff and swim out to our boat and climb up on the swim platform and jump in the boat. What a great welcome. I remember Stans neighbors from Huntington Bay, two brothers I forget their names would come out to the bluff and shoot peaches out of there potato gun and Stan would through eggs down at them. Again most likely beer was involved Rheingold for Stan. So many great times and great people that we meet through Stan and will never forget him.
Jackie and B.G your father was a wonderful and caring man and we all love him and will greatly miss him.
With much love for you both and your families Richard (Rick) and Lynn Heiser

Jackie and B.G. Your father and my great friend made a great impact on how I look at life. We all seem to look at what we don't have instead of how lucky we are. Stan taught me to be calm and think before I act. I live my life this way and it really works. I worked for Stan for 10 years and was a close friend for about 30 years. He taught me to tie a bowline knot and had me read a book called The Art Of Shoveling and I think about him every time I am planting or digging around our property.

We are saddened to hear about the passing of Stanley. We have had the pleasure of meeting Stan many years ago. He was loved and admired by many for his commitment to protecting & preserving the waterfront community in Eaton’s Neck & neighboring communities. With his passion and perfectionism, Stanley built a magnificent sea wall for us. When we look at the wall, we will always remember him with love and admiration in our hearts. Rest In Peace friend.

As life long friends, Stan and I recently reminisced about our wild, youthful days in and around the waters of Huntington Bay. One story was Stan's heroic experience during a search mission for the sunken tug boat "Gwendoline Steers" which was recently published in the book "Huntington Harbor Lighthouse". Over the years Stan became an iconic figure in Huntington and contributed much to the marine community. He will be missed by me and many others.

One of my fondest memories of so many with Stan was the infamous "ketchup gang" when we were 16-17 years old. There was a group of us Bay Hillers - Stan, me, Jackie Routon & a few others - who decided it would be fun to drive around town - up & down Main & NY Ave - with someone's arm with ketchup all over it - hanging out of the trunk of the car. We were having a howling good time watching the reactions of people who caught sight of the 'bloody' arm. But all good things must come to an end. Apparently, while we were laughing our heads off, people were calling the police. The police caught up with us - not hard since we were not hiding. The cops made a big to-do about it (I think they were probably laughing behind our backs) - finger-printed us, etc. We sure did have a good time back in the late 50's.
Jackie & BG: Everyone who knew him loved your Dad. He was one of the good guys. Much love, Aunt Sue

Your dad is a tremendous loss to the waterfront community of Long Island. He was amazingly gifted!!!! No one will ever be able to walk in his footsteps! He will be forever missed!!!! This picture was taken on the FREEZING COLD morning of December 26th, 2018 giving me a thumbs up to me saying, “we were right, they don’t know what they are talking about!” To the DEC! Lol! He ROCKED!

So many good memories. From the parties in Northport, where all the kids painted flowers and peace signs on a friends car to spending time out at the property. What beautiful sunsets! He will be missed. My deepest condolences to the family.
