Obituary of William J. Duffy

William James Duffy, of Huntington, NY, age 69, October 1, 1951 – July 29, 2021 Bill passed away peacefully at home due to complications from a long illness. He was the eldest of nine children and beloved son of Mary Thomas Duffy and Edward J. Duffy. Bill was married to Ann O’Hara Duffy for 47 years and they were blessed with three children; Caitlin (Doug Eichler), Maura (Justin Alfano) and Brendan (Nickie nee Lund). He cherished his grandchildren Henry, Fiona, Caroline, Katherine, and grandson due in September. Bill is predeceased by his parents, brother Edward and sister Maureen. He is survived by his siblings James (Maureen), John (Janie), Michael (Lisa), Eileen (Chris) Doyle, Peggy (Bill Wertz), Katie (Jeff) Schumacher, in-laws Douglas Kalberer and Peggy (nee Murphy) Duffy and uncle to eighteen nieces and nephews on the Duffy Family side. Bill is predeceased by parents-in-law June and James O’Hara and sister-in-law, Jane. He is survived by in-laws Elizabeth (Sean) Regan, James (Laura), Megan (Robert) Saltman, Daniel (Ellyn), Peter, John (Lori), Paul (Mary), and Grace (Richard) LaForce. He was uncle to eighteen nieces and nephews on the O’Hara Family side.
