Marianne will no longer physically be here with us but mentally and spiritually she will forever be here . These last 4 years have been an unexpected journey I never thought in a million years would I go through with her , I can say my peace is knowing that she is no longer suffering and let’s all be honest she’s in a better place which eventually we all will be when our time to leave this earth is here . I want to personally say a few words to uncle Joe , you have been in my life for the last 21 years and I couldn’t thank you enough for being a wonderful husband & father you kept your vows , till death do us part I respect you and all that you do and want you to know I love you so much , and In your words “time will heal our wounds” eventually the pain will be less and holidays we will sit together and keep the memories alive. To Anthony Mia and James , I love all 3 of you and I want to reassure you that your not alone and we will get through this together, mom may physically be gone but her spirit will always be with us therefore every step of the way and everything you do , continue to make mom proud . Heaven has gained a beautiful angel .

My aunt played so many roles in my life. She was my aunt, mother and big sister. I am so grateful to have had her in my life. Words can’t describe how much I will miss her. I will cherish all the memories we made and share those memories with my daughter. She battled this disease with everything she had and now it’s time to rest. I will love you always Mimi.❤️

Meria is what I called her growing up. She and I were both 7 years old when we met, and lived in the same building on the lower east side of Manhattan. We were always together, jumping rope, swimming in the public pools and melting wax to shape into long fingernails. As teens, we critiqued each other’s hair styles and clothing choices, and went to parties together. As young women, we found jobs and shared our dating stories. She was my sister from another mister, my close confidante and the keeper of many hilarious moments and priceless memories. I watched her grow into this lovely woman with a wonderful husband and 3 great kids. She had so much more left in her to give to everyone but was taken from us too soon. My tears flow for the loss of this dear friend and great lady. She will be terribly missed.
With love, Diana

Meri was a sister. She was an integral part of our family and went every where with us when we were growing up.
Some of my fondest memories were the weekends we spent dancing at any of the amazing clubs in NYC that we could get into with our fake ID's. She could remember all of our escapades and could name every dance track from the 80s and early 90s.
As she struggled with her health challenges, Meri remained fiesty and funny. She filled her time with online shopping and marveling in her three beautiful children. Joe was always her rock. Her nieces, who she mothered along the way, have turned into confident young women and she is so proud of them.
I have been amazed at the strength and love of her family and know she is proud of how they cared for her through this difficult journey.
We miss you Meri!!! I pray you have peace and hope we will meet again.
XOXOXO-Eileen
