David W. Leader, 72, of Plainview, NY died peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on February 16, 2021. Dave was a pioneer in the insurance business and owner of Leader Associates, before retiring to spend time with his family. Dave was a born salesman, with a quick wit and a goofy sense of humor. He was a loving husband and best friend for 50 years to Maureen, an amazing father to Danielle Leader, Melinda (Damon) Long and Kelly (Sean) Levine and a proud Papa to Dylan, Sienna, Lyla, Brett and Zack. He was also the baby brother of Karen (Jon) Magenta and Milo (Margo) Korn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Leader and Paula Kaplow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association @ alz.org.
