Claude E. Gibson, III, 85, of Huntington NY, passed away on Jan 1, 2021, after a short illness. As a long-term resident of Huntington, Claude was very active in Central Presbyterian Church where he served in numerous capacities, including Elder and Deacon. He was also involved with many charitable causes. For much of his life Claude worked as Director of Corporate Libraries and Information Services for Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, NY. Claude is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Marion C. Gibson; daughter Amy E. Gibson of Barkhamsted, CT; son David S. Gibson of NY, NY; son Andrew C. Gibson of Sayville, NY; and sister Brenda J. Gibson of Rockville, MD. His daughter, Deborah Dell, predeceased him in 2017. Claude also leaves 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Friday, January 8, 4-8 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Service: Saturday, January 9, 9:30AM at Central Presbyterian Church, Huntington.
