Obituary of David Richard Brand

David Richard Brand, 53 from Huntington, NY passed away into the arms of God after a long illness on November 12, 2020. His brother, Peter held his hand and was by his side during his last days. David was born on August 22st, 1967 in Huntington, NY. He graduated from Huntington High School and continued his education at the University of Colorado. David spent time working at hotels and restaurants and lived in Florida for most of his adult life. As a young man, he was an excellent skier, enjoyed travel and Italian food. He was always friendly and kind-hearted and helped his friends whenever he could. While his life took some difficult turns and had its challenges, he always remained hopeful for better times with the support of his family. He is survived by his mother, Louise Brand of Naples, FL and father, Peter (Barbara) Brand, North Port, FL and his brother, Peter Michael (Katherine) and nieces and nephew, Setauket, NY. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the spring 2021. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Cardiovascular Medical Education Fund at UAB Medical Center where David had been treated with compassion and dignity.
