Lovely Jannie. I was very lucky to be introduced to the Richmond Hill gang back in the early 70’s. The Sunday meditation group that ended in a rousing Monty Python viewing at Jim & Claire’s lovely home to those wonderful weekends in Stoneybrook. I remember her second or two pause before bursting a hearty laugh at some of the crazy antics we did. All good fun. She was a wonderful baker but Jan’s talents were breaths of artistry in so many palettes. Flowers, China painting and just being able to look at something to create. Her heart saw beauty her hands were able to create. I send my cherished memories to her family that this wonderful soul is in peace. Ommmm on the range dearest Jan, Ommm on the range! Much love, Deb

I worked with Jan at Petals in Locust Valley, I think it’s close to 30 years. She had amazing talents , so creative in so many ways with flowers, jewelry, quilting, cooking baking. She had incredible healing hands and would always take a moment to relieve a headache or a stiff neck or a sore knee to anyone in the shop. I admired her so much for her gentle nature and practical outlook and genuine caring to everyone. I will miss her so much and could never forget her. She is a great example of a wonderful human being, I can only strive to be more like her. Rest In Peace beautiful Jan .

I met Jan at church at the age of six, we were in choir, GFS, meditation group, Reiki and a bit of tropical traveling. Along with a college friend Paul we were the three amigos and in the past year have been doing healing meditations and prayer times together as well. Some examples of her artistic talent are below,A tea cup and saucer she created for my parents anniversary, Stained glass windmill project -this photo was shared by another church member upon hearing the news yesterday, A photo of Jan’s amazing basket weave cake she created for my wedding -it was chocolate with chocolate, a lovely picture of Jan and Mike dancing at our wedding last year, and finally the picture of we three amigos from my birthday last year out in New Jersey. Paul, and myself offer our condolences to all the Miller Ryan families. Most especially big hugs to Mike. May our girl rest in God’s peace.
