I am so sorry to hear about Don passing. I am Annie Dorothea Ennevers Browns’ granddaughter. My Dad was Robert Ennever Brown, Nana Dots’ son. My Dad died 2 years ago this past September, 5 days shy of age 100. I sent a Christmas card to Don and Edith and it came back from the post office so I thought maybe something happened. Edith and I corresponded a few times in the last couple of years and she always tried to give me family history information that she could. Whenever my Dad and Mom visited Merrick in between moving with the Army, they tried to visit with Edith and Don. I believe Don and Edith renovated a barn for their home and we visited there once and my Dad took a photo of them with the barn. that always impressed me even as a child..it seemed like a wild and great thing to do. I also remember visiting their house and Edith gave us raspberry jam and I had never had it...in those days, it was only grape from the store. To this day it is my favorite.

I have so many nice memories of the family getting together over the years from the outings on the sailboats to the weddings of Jane, Claire, Nancy and Bill. Rest In Peace, Uncle Don.
