Obituary of Barbara A. Bento

Barbara Ann Bento was born on April 18th 1956 to Arthur and Helen Fuelling in Bethpage Long Island, New York. She was raised in Hicksville and Dix Hills New York. Attended local schools, graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School. She met Jack Bento on a blind date set up by two mutual friends in January 1985, fell in love and were married on September 7, 1985. They purchased the home that Jack’s parents built and lived there for over 35 years. Barbara ran the office for Bento Construction and was always the back bone of their construction business. Barbara took up the position of caregiver for Jack’s mom Elba and later cared for Jacks Aunt Alicia who was suffering from Alzheimer's. She cared for them right up until she was diagnosed with her illness. Barbara is survived by Jack her Husband, Helen Fuelling her mother, Marylou, Robert, David, and Jimmy Fuelling, Elba Bento, Gisele Burkavage, Bobby Bento, and many godchildren, nieces and nephews. We will all miss her loving advice and sense of humor. Her smile would light up the room. Barbara loved boating on the LI Sound on their boat. She took motorcycle trips all over the country. She was the Photographer for the Wheelmen Motorcycle LE Club and an avid supporter of the South Shore Motorcycle Club. Barbara’s and Jacks life together was always a happy time, they adored each other and enjoyed the moments they had together. Barbara was loved and will be missed by many family, friends and people she has touched in her life. Barbara loved animals and hated to see them mistreated. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ASPCA in her name.
