Obituary of Henry "Harry" Joseph McLaughlin

Henry “Harry” Joseph McLaughlin, 76 years old, passed away on August 10, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Harry Sr. and Lillian McLaughlin and brother of the late Lillian Kennedy. Harry is survived by his daughters Heather (Chris Kancza) and Danielle (Ted Garrity), and grandchildren Brynne, Davyn, and Christopher. He graduated from Iona College with a BA in Economics and Lehman College with a Master's of Social Work. Harry was a Sergeant in the NYPD, spent 30+ years as the Director of Security and Public Safety for Baruch College, and was a founding partner of Citadel Security Agency. He will be remembered for his love of life and his love of golf. Visitation will be held at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, 9:30 AM at St Elizabeth’s of Hungry Church, 175 Wolf Hill Rd, Melville, NY.
