Obituary of Lawrence D. Acritani

Acritani, Lawrence On Saturday, April 18, 2020, Lawrence Acritani of Huntington, passed away at the age of 71 years after a long battle with A.L.S. Larry is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served honorably in the US Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant, and will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery. Larry will be forever remembered by his wife of 47 years, Patricia and his children, Robert (predeceased) and Kathryn (Brian) Guggenheim. Larry will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren Jack, Emma and Lily, his brothers and sisters, Patricia (Curt) Meinel, Steven (Arlene), Pasquale Jr., Linda (Stephen) Nielsen and John (Denise), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. The family would also like to thank the staff at the Northport VA Medical Center for their care and support for Larry over the past 8 years. There will be a celebration of life sometime in the future when we are all safe again. We are comforted knowing that Larry is in God’s hands now. Memorial donations in memory of Larry may be made to the A.L.S. Association. All current services are private.
