Obituary of Robert Philip Schmitt, Jr.

Robert Philip Schmitt Jr (54) ascended to heaven on April 7, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife Audra, cherished daughter Courtney, father Robert Sr, mother Mildred, sisters Jill Conroy and Sandra Schmitt-Harvey. Rob has touched so many hearts with his large circle of family and friends. He was a 32 year veteran fire fighter of the Melville, NY Fire Department. He was an accomplished and talented electrician by trade. Rob had a love for spending time with family and friends while enjoying his favorite outdoor activities. Heaven has no idea who is coming to the party. A private wake service is scheduled at M.A. Connell Funeral Home in Huntington, NY. On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, there will be a ceremony to honor Rob. During these unprecedented times, we have created a safe and social distance service. Everybody will stay in their vehicles for the entire ceremony. We hope that you will join our family to help show your support.
