Obituary of James A. Vaughn

James A Vaughn (Jim) age 85, passed away at home peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019. He was born March 5, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York.

Beloved husband for 61 years to Marie (Fiore); dear father to Denise M. Salage (Gary) and Carolyn Sullivan (James).  Beloved grandfather (Pop) to William C. Salage (Sally) and Daniel M Salage, and Brooke A. and Andrew J. Sullivan. Dear brother-in-law John Fiore.

Jim proudly served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. Jim worked as an adjuster in insurance and then as a Snap-on tool dealer. Upon retirement, he volunteered at St. Patrick’s Church as an usher for 50 years and in the computer tutor program. Additionally, Jim was active in the Elks Club including Exalted Ruler as well as volunteering at the VA Hospital. Jim treasured his faith and his family. His passions included boating, photography when he was not acting as “Uber Pop” to his grandkids.

Jim is predeceased by his parents James J. and Jane Vaughn and following siblings John, Vincent, and Richard and survived by his brother Charles Robert Vaughn of San Jose, CA.
