Elsbet Wallace, nee Braren, 78, recently of Ringwood, New Jersey and formerly of the Bronx, New York, passed away on December 30, 2018.  Beloved wife of the late John F. Wallace. Devoted mother of Susan Delaney and her husband Tim, John Wallace and his wife Gayle, and Karen Walter and her husband Rob.  Loving grandmother of Timmy and Amanda Delaney, John IV, Dylan and Brooke Wallace, Jordan, Jack, Caroline and Reid Walter.  Dear sister of Oluf Braren, Volkert Braren, and Elka Deede.  Predeceased by her sister Ingrid Braren, her brother in law Michael Wallace and her sister in law Margaret Sullivan.  Beloved sister in law of Mary Wallace, Dan Sullivan, Dottie Braren, Vincent and Mary Wallace, Maureen Braren, Susan and Jerry Reen, and Peter Deede.  Beloved aunt and cousin to many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Family was Elsbet's greatest pride and joy.  A perfect wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Elsbet was the self appointed social chairman for family reunions, lunches, get togethers, holidays and vacations.  Nothing brought her greater joy than being in the company of those she loved.  

 

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, January 3, 2019 4-8 pm at M.A. Connell Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11 am at St. John's Episcopal Church of Cold Spring Harbor, Cold Spring Harbor, New York. Private Cremation will follow.
