The Mangan's were so saddened to hear of Tim's passing. Tim was one of the best things about our years with Liberty Lacrosse. He was so kind, funny and just a great person to be with. Our hearts go out to our favorite goalie, Maggie, and your entire family. Tonia and Caroline Mangan

Lovelee And Edward Vetri posted a condolence

Dear McGovern Family and Friends,
It is with our deepest condolences that we pray for you and your family at this time.
We only knew Tim for a short time when we became involved with helping him with St.Patrick’s Golf Outing but it was evident that he truly loved and cherished his role as a father and his contribution to the school and Parish. I enjoyed learning from him and we shared many laughs along the way. He truly was a kind gentle man with an easy spirit and sense of humor. I will mostly remember his excitement and pride at his daughter’s graduation day for which he needed to leave the outing for. Beaming with a smile from ear to ear to share this time in her life. His love for his family showed in all that he said and all that he gave of himself.
We mourn with you and pray that you find comfort in knowing that he has gone home and lays in the arms of his Father.
In Christ,
The Vetri Family

Tim has been someone whom I believe completely embodies the truest meaning of the word 'friend'. Tim would be the first person to offer help, without question, in every circumstance. He was a tremendous listener, and asked all the right questions to get to the crux of every matter. He constantly saw the good in people, and was slow to believe anything negative. Thoughtful and funny, he was a constant pleasure to have in one's company. His devotion to family was remarkable, and he never missed an event with them. His volunteerism was pretty legendary, and I am not sure that he ever said no to anyone who needed help. The world is a dimmer place as the result of his passing, but we are all better for having known him, Memories of him will last forever in our minds and hearts, and Heaven just became an even kinder, gentler, better place. May the entire McGovern family eventually find peace in knowing that Tim has left this world better than he found it, and that they will one day be reunited with him.
