Moriarty, Helen N., 88, of Huntington, on September 19, 2018. She is remembered for her incredible achievements including a loving 50 year marriage and earning her Masters degree while raising 8 children, all of whom graduated from Boston College. Helen championed independence and professionalism for women and truly loved a great party and a snazzy outfit! Beloved wife of the late Vincent. Loving mother of Jeanne Gatta (Carmen), Barbara, Robert (Donna), Eileen Mitchell (Robert), Brian (Teresa) the late Diane Berejka (John), Karen Morris (Walter) and James (Michelle). Cherished grandmother of Brendan, Colin, Kelly, Carmen, Patrick, Meghan, Shannon, Catherine, Brian, Kate, Chris, Sarah, Lauren, Greg, Justin, Emma, Charlotte, Caroline, Allison, Elizabeth, Doug, Isabelle, Juliette, Shaine and Dillon. Dear sister of Patricia Lyons and William Nolan (Mel). Visitation Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass Monday 9:45 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Huntington. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org in Helen’s name would be greatly appreciated.
